Make Your Own Biggest Loser Fitness Camp

Have you ever thought about getting in shape by taking a week long vacation at the Biggest Loser Resort camp? I know one of my friends wants to but she doesn’t have the money. Did you know you can develop your own Biggest Loser camp for less money? Let me show you how. 

If you were to sign up for one week of grueling exercise and subsisting on a spartan diet, it would cost you $2295 at the Biggest Loser camp in Itasca, Illinois. It would cost an extra $300, if you decided to stay on-site instead of commuting to the camp daily. Since you want to save money, I’m only instructing you how to set up your own off-site fitness resort. 


  • First, you will need to take off a week from work. If you have children, your spouse is going to have to pitch in and do all the chores. This is your time to get in shape so you won’t need any distractions. 
  • If you are not a member of a health club, you need to join a local gym for one week. Some clubs let you have a free week but they hassle you to join or you can just pay for a day pass or a week’s pass. 
  • Have a trainer design a 4-6 hour/day workout program for the week based on what they offer at the fitness club you belong to or plan to join for that week. 
  • Nutrition, this is a tricky one based on your willpower. You can make a week worth of nutritious low calorie foods and plan out all your meals for the week. If you don’t want to cook or you don’t know how to design a weight loss meal plan, you can pay for 1 week of meals from BistroMd or hire a private chef. 
  • For those who cannot workout on his or her own, then they might want to pay for a trainer to get them through the week. Off site trainer fees vary so you are going to have to some comparison shopping. Narrow your list to three trainers and interview and hire the trainer that you feel that meets your needs and comfort level. 
  • If you feel you are going to be sore and would like extra pampering, schedule a massage appointment for that week. Find a deal by visiting a hotel website or looking on Groupon or Living Social.
