The Women's Information Network (The WIN) is planning the largest gathering of women for International Women’s Day in the history of the world with celebrations planned in 176 countries. Each country has a dedicated page on www.InternationalWomensDay.org/176countries.

SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah (January 14, 2011)  On and around March 8, 2011, women around the world will celebrate with The Women's Information Network (The WIN) to mark the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day.

Women in 10 U.S. cities and 176 countries will gather to honor remarkable women past, present and future. Events will range in size from three women talking about life and love, family and community, to thousands of women gathered to hear guest speakers in an arena. 

“I'm thrilled to the core to be part of connecting the women of the world,” says WIN founder Paula Fellingham. “Without a doubt, this historic, monumental event will increase the momentum of today's global women's movement.”

Event Hosts have been identified in dozens of countries to date, and events are shaping up all over the world. Every event will feature food, music and the sharing of solutions to women’s issues.
            Enlightenment and empowerment are the watchwords of the celebrations.  “Empowered women can improve their economic status and move out of survival mode, move into self-mastery, and move up to selfless service,” Fellingham says. “This trajectory will always lift the level of love and peace on earth.”

            Fellingham says that on this day women will celebrate like never before,  connect as only women do, and commit to improve in three areas of their lives:

  2. Family ~ help their families be healthier and prepare for the future right now.
