As all good Star Wars geeks know, the day to celebrate all things Star Warsian is today, May 4th. OF COURSE we all know that the first movie -- A New Hope -- was ACTUALLY released in 1977 on May 25th, but it's clearly way more fun and in keeping with this high holy day to celebrate Star Wars today, just so we can go around saying, "May the Fourth be with you!"

I'm a Star Wars geek, for sure. The facts: I dressed up as Princess Leia in kindergarten (hair buns and all). I collected an obscene amount of action figures and spaceships, and it is to my everlasting sorrow that while I had the Ewok village, I never got a Millennium Falcon. There was a time when I actively tried to Use the Force to bring a tube of toothpaste into my room. Finally, I can't ever get enough of the Weird Al Yankovic parody, "The Saga Begins."

There are a lot of ways to celebrate May the Fourth today. If you're in my home state of Minnesota and feel like toddling down to Ngon Vietnamese Bistro in St. Paul, you can get a free beer when you say, "May the Fourth be with you."

Cassie's Frozen Yogurt in Grapevine, Texas, is going all out by screening all six Star Wars movies and offering fro-yo flavors like "Tart Tart Binks" and "Wookie's and Cream." (They don't say what you get if you throw toppings at Anakin's whiny face in Attack of the Clones.)

Speaking of edibles, the always hilarious (and sometimes repulsive) Cake Wrecks blog is featuring Star Wars cakes in honor of today. (Check out the dead Tauntaun! Heeeeeeeew!) Now, if Tauntauns appeal to you -- especially the dead ones -- maybe you want to kip out in this dead Tauntaun sleeping bag from Think Geek. (No, not the April Fools fake-out, this one's for real.)

Other ways to revel in being a scruffy nerf herder include getting free shipping on Star Wars LEGO purchases (with a chance to win an awesome solid bronze Boba Fett minifigure!), attending services at Jedi Church, participating in a costume contest at Page One Bookstore in Albuquerque, New Mexico, fencing in Woodstock, New York, or planning your own Star Wars party.

If you're a homebody and prefer instead to celebrate quietly, counting your Midi-chlorians with your pre-crispified Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, bake up some Wookie Cookies from The Star Wars Cookbook and watch the hilarious "Grocery Store Wars."

Just remember, however you decide to keep this most holy of days, "Do or do not, there is no try."

Yesterday was an interesting day for all Stars Wars fanatics. They had the entire day saying Star Wars quotes ( http://personalmoneystore.com/moneyblog/2010/05/04... ). The popular one you heard is May the Fourth be with you.
For a lot of years this quote has been the supporter's way of enjoyment, the day has been the excuse to quote Star Wars in general. This is the words of Yoda from his intelligent knowledge. But I've been reminded of a foreign language through this, it's is like Yoda combined English with his own words. Confusing but thought provoking, So I leave you this words, "May the Fourth be with you".

I do enjoy sleeping my way through the Star Wars series, while others in my family watch.

I've seen just enough of each installment to know that I love these parodies more than I will ever love the real thing.

When he's old enough, I'm totally buying my son the Tauntaun sleeping bag so he can gross friends out at sleepover or camp.

Pop in a Star Wars movie tonight. Seeing as we can't eat at the dining table (I swear it would take an hour to properly clear at this point) A New Hope with dinner sounds like a good pairing to me.
