Meal Plan Monday

As I mentioned when I was talking about the food budget, one of the things we really need to do is work on meal planning. Sometimes we've been really good at it, sometimes not. We sat down this weekend and worked out our plan for the next week. (We were going to do two weeks and then realized I was not going to be here for half of the second week.)

Monday - Grilled flank steak and sweet potatoes

Tuesday - Butternut squash mac n' cheese

Wednesday - Grilled pork chops, rice and veggies

Thursday - Carrot soup

Friday - Chickpea curry and parathas

Saturday - Beef ribs, oven onion rings, and salad

Sunday - Osso buco and orzo risotto

We can make almost the whole week's worth of meals on food we already have in the house. Our grocery bill this week will be very small.
