Meal Plan Monday February 25

I swear I blinked and the weekend was over. Can I have my weekend back?

Our weekend started off with a change of plans on Friday night. Our usually sitting on our butt plans turned into a trip the National Art Centre to attend Finnish Landscapes. Yes, for a change we didn't go to the NAC for a ballet. Shocking! I discovered I rather like Sibelius. I can't say the night was quite so well received by everyone. I was at the mall and overheard a staff member in a store discussing the performance and she used the word "screeching" quite a bit. Oh well.

I made my own granola on Saturday. We don't buy a granola often but I've had the urge to make it for the last month or so. I grabbed the recipe out of the Mom 100 Cookbook and it is so, so good. I've had yogurt parfaits for breakfast since then and I think we're going to have to go to the grocery store midweek because I'm going to run out of yogurt. At some point on the weekend I realized I had basically made my own breakfast cereal and it kind of blew my mind.

Monday: cannelloni and garlic bread (bumped from Friday)

Tuesday: We'll be pulling some leftover turkey and stuffing from the freezer so I'll make mashed potatoes, gravy and some kind of veg.

Wednesday: Tamale pie

Thursday: Carrot soup... I think.

Friday: Shrimp and quinoa and veggies

Saturday: We're going to a wedding so no cooking for me. And I chose the vegetarian option for dinner so I'm totally counting that as my second meatless meal for the week. Ha!

Sunday: Mustardy pork chops with apples and onions from Dinner: A Love Story cookbook
