Meal Plan Monday, September 24
By Karen Ballum on September 24, 2012
For those wondering, yes we did remember to take the prime rib out of the freezer. (Even though Denise did not remind us.) It's one of the few things we actually did on our meal plan last week. We were dealing with some family stuff that threw our meal plan completely out of whack on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. I'm not complaining. My week had 100% more Vietnamese food consumed than originally planned! Mmm.
This week is looking to be quieter than the last few we've had. It's going to be extra quiet this weekend when the fake husband is off for his annual golf weekend with the boys. I'll be all by myself Saturday and most of Sunday. What will I do with all that time? I know I need to run to the library (hmm unless we do that Friday) but aside from that I'm not sure. Maybe I'll read books. Maybe I'll give my blogs a bit of attention and take part in Bloggiesta. Maybe I'll actually write posts for my blogs! Or a movie marathon?
Monday: A sort of shepherd's pie type of thing made with the leftover prime rib.
Tuesday: Elk sausages (we didn't have those last week) and sweet potato fries. (Hmmm we should probably stock up on elk sausages for the winter. Need to go the farmer's market or the elk ranch soon!)
Wednesday: Potato leek soup. We didn't make this last week and it made the fake husband sad. He loves potato leek soup.
Thursday: Leftovers! I hope. Or I'll pull something from the freezer.
Friday: Pizza night!
Saturday: I'll be home by myself. Do I want some take out? Do I want to make carbonara?
Sunday: We're learning toward a roast chicken dinner right now. Whatever we have it will have lots of veggies. The boys eat a lot of junk during their golf weekend.
What are you up to this week? What are your favourite movies for a movie marathon?
