I know what you're thinking. How can she possibly be unbiased? She's his mother, for crying out loud!
Okay, I'll admit it, I am a wee bit biased...BUT Jase's music would appeal to me even if I weren't his mother.
Jase is the introspective, deep thinker in our family. Sometimes the insight that flows out of him amazes me. This is the kid, that at age 3, said to me while crawling into the back seat of our car, "I'm not afraid to die." Of course, my heart skipped a beat. That's not a typical 3-year-old statement. When I asked what he meant, his reply was: "I'm not afraid to die, 'cause heaven is a wonderful place." (Excuse me while I dab my eyes!)
That deep thinking shines in his music as well. While I wouldn't classify it as a typical sacred listen, it is deeply spiritual. To top it all off, Jase is an amazing guitarist. His style is a bluesy pop.
In the sidebar of my blog you'll find an older song that he wrote, called "Misconception." But he's coming out with his first CD in the near future!!! (I'm so excited for him that I could bust ten shirts worth of buttons!!! I'll be sure to let you know when it's available to the public.)
So what are you waiting for? Go listen!!!
