It's interesting as my husband Rick and I go through raising our first children, who happen to be fraternal twins, that every corner we turn causes a new moment for pause. Our girls, who turned three in December of 2008, have now decided they have their own opinions about things and would much rather keep their own opinions and not accept ours. Which is fine to a certain extent, we want our children to be independent free thinkers, but when it comes to safety and discipline - their opinions should be set aside, for now. About Me:
I am a 34 year young mother of twin three year old girls, and we have a step son who just turned 13. My husband Rick and I have been together for ten years, and have lived in the Tacoma area for most of our lives. I was born in WA, grew up in MS and found myself fifteen years ago back in Tacoma. My husband was born in MI and grew up in WA and CA. I am one year away from completing my Master's Degree in Post Secondary and Adult Education and am excited at the prospect of teaching and grant writing for under funded programs.
I love to laugh with my kids, even though the challenge us every day - they teach us to be better people and to appreciate the smallest things, no matter how insignificant they appear in the greater plan of life - it's about appreciating the moment.
I'm new to Blogging, but am looking forward to joining a community of other mom's and professionals and sharing and growing with everyone.
