Lost My Mind Over Lost

  Countdown to Lost Season Six Premiere! The sixth season of Lost premieres tonight February 2, on abc, at 9 p.m. – with a recap from last season at 8p.m.  It has been a long 8 months, 2 weeks, 5 days, and some hours, minutes, and seconds, since the season five finale of Lost.  The season five finale entitled The Incident, took my breath away, and left me and thousands of other Lost fans aching for more.  Read more >

Giving Thanks, Literally

It is the season when we most remember to ‘Give Thanks’ and when that involves the giving and receiving of gifts, sometimes kids (as well as many adults) can use a little help or inspiration to do just that.  Writing thank you notes in appreciation for a gift or other kindness, is an important skill for kids to learn but sometimes it can be difficult to know just what to say or how to say it.    Read more >

Dickens at Christmastime

Charles Dickens and his enduringly popular tales really remind me of Christmastime and have become a part of our homeschooling schedule, for this time of year.  The obvious connection here would be with Dickens’ story, A Christmas Carol.  This year another movie adaptation of the story has been released, by Disney – the story lives on and is relevant for people in our modern age, just as it was for people during the Victorian Era.  Read more >
