I AM Jen Banks. Though I was born Jennifer, please don’t call me that. It makes me feel like I am in trouble. I am the mother of two insanely loud and active boys who love to drive my neighbors crazy with all their fancy footwork. They are 6 and 2, you can guess by the gap in ages that I didn’t think this whole parenting thing through… I am a waitress by trade, but also by passion. I have been serving since I was 12 and honestly love that I get to chat with the people of my community every day. I grew up in restaurants, and will probably never leave them.
And I work in social media. You found out my little secret. But shhh, don’t tell anyone.
I have been writing on A Busy Mommy (Hey…that’s me!) for almost four years. I call it my Middle Child. Together we’ve grown from just a few readers a week to thousands a month. Yay! They like me, they really like me! I work with many brands regularly including Fisher Price, General Mills, Ford, Crayola, Hallmark, President’s Choice, Kinder and many more. I love what I do. Being able to talk to people about things that matter to them, and to me. It’s one of the coolest jobs I have. I also have experience in copy writing and editing, market research and scouting. I can vlog…but prefer not to if avoidable.
Someday I will retire and work at Disney World. My grandchildren will love me.
You can find me all over the interwebs, but mostly on twitter, @Jen_Banks is what I answer to. I’m also onFacebook and Pinterest… I’m on Google + but I haven’t got the hang of that one yet.
