148 Squadron of the RAF

Everyone has a story of back then, and this is my family's.Five days after George turned 22 on May 15th, 1942, he enlisted to become a Pilot Officer of the RCAF. I'm not sure why he decided to volunteer for duty; though he was young, just bordering on that age that still believes in invincibility, and was most likely still idealistic enough to believe that he could change the world.  Read more >

Nerd New Year 11/11/11

It's amazing what a set of numbers can do!For numerologists, our entire being is based in number patterns, and landing the #11 is highly auspicious. It, along with the number 22 are known as Master numbers. I checked my family's birthdays to see if anyone came out as an 11, and I was kinda intrigued with the results. Me and my DH are 7 and 8 respectively, my brother and DH's brother are both 11s.O.o  Read more >

How Close Do You Think We Are to Microsoft's World?

I've just spent the last 6.17 mins watching what Microsoft sees as the future. It wasn't until ShesConnected Conference that I really gave any thought of where companies would get their ideas to move forward with new technology. When I got to watch Sheryl Connelly discuss her work in Global Consumer Trends and Futuring for Ford Motor Company, I was finally able to get a proper picture of how companies work on getting that next "good idea" to wow their consumers and make it into the next level of technological advancement.  Read more >

Entertain Me NOW... please!

If you read me yesterday, you might remember my saying to keep an eye out for certain companies that are no doubt aiming for the top of the tech list? There's a new leak on an upcoming HTC smartphone that will encase a 1.5GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset. What does this mean in layman's terms? It'll be one fast mo-fo. Your phone is Wile E. Coyote and this new HTC Quad-Core Superphone currently titled as the "Edge", is the Road Runner.  Read more >

About Me:

Aeryn went to York University in Toronto for a degree in English (not knowing what she wanted out of life.) This is where she found her soul-mate and a penchant for what is now known as “Social Media”; though back then it was termed something like “the emerging global communal infrastructure of the Internet.”

After two years through university, she switched to Seneca College (at the Seneca@York campus) and studied under the Digital Media Arts umbrella for website design.

Today she is actively developing graphics and websites as a freelancer when she’s not twittering, facebooking or writing for Habitue.ca, PaperSweets.ca and/or Socialiiz.Me.

Her other day job is a creative coach/consultant for PaperSweets.ca, where any and all DIY projects are tackled.  From home decore and jewellery to paper-crafting cards and scrapbook pages, you'll find a little bit of everything on this site.

Her other other day job is to blog and review about her favourite topics: technology, plus-size fashion, and/or local events!  Aeryn also publishes product reviews that relate to any of these topics as well.
