Michelle

I'm a new recruit to the stay-at-home-mom world with two wee ones who keep me running.  Fortunately I'm still faster and smarter than them, but I know that won't last for long.  Hopefully I can fool them for awhile after that.  I write at Honest & Truly! about My Life.  My Story.  My Version.

You can also find me writing at Chicago Mom Blogs and 5 Minutes for Books.

I also try to maintain my sanity on Twitter as @HonestAndTruly.

A unique fact about myself that you might find surprising?  I may know how to cook now, but when I was learning, I shattered a gorgeous glass baking dish by trying to remelt some caramel on my stove.  I picked glass out of crevices in the kitchen until I moved.

We were recently invited to spend the day at Raging Waves in Yorkville. The wee ones and I received complimentary tickets and lunch, but all opinions remain my own. We had never been to this water park before, but we’ve been checking out local (and not so local) water parks for the past couple years, so the wee ones are experts ....more

Finally, I decided to have the wee ones help me by creating a one of a kind piece of art that looks like it was a custom print but really was something we made at home ....more

Top 5 Reasons To Consider Concordia Language Villages

We moved two weeks ago, and one of the best parts about moving has been rediscovering my belongings – especially since we rented while looking for a new house and things like photo albums were in storage. I discovered all sorts of great photos from when I was a kid, including a ton of my years I spent at Concordia Language Villages as a kid. Since I’m headed back there again this summer, it seemed like someone was trying to tell me to share more of my experience ....more
