Sylvia is a German-American writer living in Spain with her English boyfriend and her somewhat culturally-confused teenage son. Her son is 14 and knows it all - except how to answer simple questions like:

"Where are you from?"
"Why don't you speak German?"
"Have you done your chores?"

As the antithesis to current home-schooling trends, he gets packed up and sent to boarding school in the south-east of England every term. He thinks people should know that it is nothing like Harry Potter.
