A little over a week ago, an Instagram scare went viral. People were talking about new Terms of Service (TOS). People were outraged, others confused, some felt their trust violated.But here's the thing, the TOS hadn't changed.I knew because I had a copy of it from a piece I wrote in the beginning of March and was able to offer comparisons. It's A Wrap: 30 Rock And Other Awesome Shows That Went Out On Top

I’m a huge fan of 30 Rock, but I was happy to hear it when they announced the series is wrapping up next season. I prefer the Ab Fab model to the Bonanza one - a series moving on while adoring fans still want more as opposed to becoming something we take for granted. It’s like reading a good book. We approach the end aware how many pages are left while appreciating what we’ve enjoyed so far.  Read more >

Eternal Style: Vidal Sassoon (1928-2012)

I remember a story once told to me by a cousin of my grandfather's about her visit to Vidal Sassoon's London salon and the pixie cut that she left with. When she arrived back at the hotel, her husband said he hoped she'd never wear her hair any other way. Some fifty years later, it remains the same.  Read more >

Asking for Likes and Other Forms of Self-Promotion

When I’m asked about self-promotion, if I think the way people reach out asking for likes, follows or +K’s are okay, my feelings are mixed. Self-promotion is a good thing, but we need to give if we want to receive. Most successful bloggers get to where they are there by a ton of hard work and commitment. That said, most bloggers do not have PR backgrounds.  Read more >
