Allison Tannenbaum MS, RD

Allison is a Registered Dietitian with an MS degree in Nutrition and Physical Fitness from New York University.  In addition to her private practice she does nutrition consulting for a major home health care company in the metro NY area and is an adjunct professor at Westchester Community College.  She is also a facilitator for an online weight loss program, that utilizes an online chat based setting for meetings and support.  Allison is involved in many projects that include nutrient analysis and nutrition label development of foods and recipes for chefs and food manufacturers.

She is passionate about her children and healthy living!

The Superpower Veg: Kale

Some people love it, some people hate it, but there is no denying the fact that kale is the Wonder Woman (she’s a woman and she’s awesome, so yeah it works!) of veggies! I will be completely honest here: I used to absolutely despise kale.  I remember the first time I ate it because I thought it was SO vile; my brother and I bought it when I lived in New Orleans, and he was loving it, so I was super stoked to try it, and it was NOT a match.  I barely swallowed it down without gagging....more
