Bring in the Clowns. On Saturday, we had planned for a group of clown to come and visit the residents that I work for in an Memory Care Community.  The staff that it would be a great idea.  However, it wasn't successful. It was too much stimulus for the residents with Alzheimer's.  They were confused and overwhelmed by the production.  Just giving a heads up to those who plan and implent activities for seniors.  Read more >

School is in Session As students headed back to school today, I realized that I am enrolled as a student of life at my work.  The senior adults that I work for are my teachers.  They have studied relationships, families and life for over 80 years, which makes them overqualified.
