I haven't gotten sick in a long time...

:cough: :cough:  How come EVERY time I say something hasn't happened in a long time, it happens?  Almost immediately?!  So last week I was telling a couple of my friends that I hadn't gotten sick for a long time.  I knew I shouldn't have.  I mean, it always happens that way.  In fact, I think I even said it.  But sure enough I started getting a cold.  You know when you've got something going on, you are exhausted.  Well that's what happened.  Now, I have a full on cold.  And I don't have time for a cold this month, especially not this w  Read more >

Raising kids, running a business and dealing with life

What does it all mean?  Who knows?  I own a small business.  A very small business.  I went from raising my children to owning a business in about six months.  I loved staying home, it is my cave, my security blanket, my haven, if you will.  I feel safe here, unjudged and free.  Out there?  Out there is terrifying.  Out there I'm a small fish in a huge pond.  Out there I'm no one, just another car going down the road.  Just another grocery cart at the market.  Just another "woman driver".  But here, I mean something to several  Read more >

About Me: 

I'm a travel agency owner.  I have three children and a wonderful husband of twenty years.  Two of my fantastic children are already grown (I even have a grandbaby!) and one is in the third grade.

We have two dogs and one cat and about four fish.

I am a caring, generous person.  But I don't like to be used, and sometimes that is what it feels like.  I am patient and loving and I have a great sense of humor.

One of my favorite places to go is our time-share on Maui.  I absolutely adore that island.  It feels like home whenever I'm there.  And that is not enough.
