Parenting Moment: Feeling Caught Off-Guard

I was, and still am, feeling caught off-guard. Reeling. I am trying to understand how this could be. How, in this day and age, that my son, simply because he has Down syndrome, can be unwelcome into a daycare center. Why? Please help me understand why he is not allowed there. He could teach the other kids SO much! He could teach the teachers and the director SO much! He could share SO much of what he knows about life and learning and love.  Read more >

About Me: 

My name is Laurie and I am a thirty-something, advocating mama to two young children.  I started my blog, Days with Dylan, soon after our baby came home from the NICU almost 3 years ago.  Shortly after his birth, we were told that he had Down syndrome as well as heart defects that would require open heart surgery.

My kiddos and I are currently navigating our way through some big changes and are excited and hopeful to see what each day brings!
