About Me: 
I'm a patchwork of many lives. I've been a nun, wife, widow, single mom, divorced mom, single mom, bereaved mother. I've been a set designer, a picker in a warehouse, a jeweler, a development director, and am now a freelance author with a newspaper column (past 10 years), write frequently for regional magazines. My first book, a memoir The Scent of God was published by Counterpoint NY in hardcover (2006) and in paperback this April 2007. I was named "Best of 2006 Minnesota Authors" by the Minneapolis Star Tribune, and my book was a notable Book Sense selection for April 2006.
