Treasure Seeking

Last night I kept falling asleep while I was talking to God. Fighting it horribly. Sleep, not God! Telling myself it was a sin to fall asleep in the middle of prayer. Asking myself how I feel when my husband falls asleep in the middle of a conversation. And then something came to me.If I fall asleep talking to God, and I reach for my Bible as soon as I wake up to read His Word, then that makes Him the first and last thing on my mind each day....more

When everything that could go wrong did. When absolute and utter failure appears inevitable, yes, that’s when I do my best work. But I’m wondering about trial by fire. Really? If I were tried by fire would the work I have done survive or be burnt up?...more
