I have been married to Scott for almost 20 years!  We are best friends, soul mates and each other's rock.  Things that could have destroyed us have made us stronger.  Infertility hit us when we were only married about 2 years.  What a blow to a newlywed wanting a baby.  But the struggles made us work together.  We tried treatments in spurts - mostly due to the costs, but we never stopped.  Then health issues hit us hard about 3 years ago.  Started with me having a stroke while I was up singing in church, followed by 3 failed back surgeries in just under three months.  The last one was a result of an infection from the 2nd back surgery.  I had to have a PICC line placed and IV antibiotics for 6ish weeks!  CRAZY  I just had my last surgery, which was an implantation of a spinal cord stimulator and GOD IS GOOD...it is working. 

All of that pales in comparison to the whirlwind that came into our lives on April 30th.  What started out as a super sad day (doctor told me it would be a waste of money to try anymore for pregnancy) and ended with a precious girl calling me telling me she wants us to adopt her baby.  Fast forward to now...and in just about 50 days he will be in my arms.  My prayers have been answered, Scott will be a daddy, I will be a mommy.  My parents will be here to love him and sing to him.  God is so good and faithful.  His timing is perfect, what I wanted and what I needed were two different things and God knew best.

He knew there was a scared pregnant mother who needed someone to care and help her, He knew there was a preciuos unborn baby boy who needed someone to raise him and love him;  He knew there was a couple praying every day for a child.  He knew.
