Cynthia Cotte Griffiths

Way back in college I majored in philosophy intent on figuring it all out. Ten years working in nonprofit fundraising, then 11 years at home with two sons, and I've gone back to development work part-time. After the second son, I lost 50 lbs. on Weight Watchers because I was sure I was going to die a young death. I hate sweating and exercising but I started running, continuted my yoga, and now kickboxing too. After always being a slug, I believe anyone can do it.  I found out I like to write and I have a personal blog on life, relationships, family and volunteering called Trying Not To Be Negative. In 2007, I partnered with a friend as Editor and started a  community blog, Rockville Central, which is now the second most read local blog in Maryland. I'm starting a local sharing place for volunteering and nonprofits as well, Rockville Nonprofits. My professional website is CynthiaCotteGriffiths.
