Chaos yes but we live here too!

So I've been a little busy lately to blog. I know it's a cop out but my life really has been chaotic... Ever since our new addition Arrived a year and a half ago. I went from a hardworking mom with 2 fairly independent teens with a lot of free time & freedom...to adding a tween who is adjusting to a new family, new language, new culture & life. He has with multiple health issues related to his injuries that were sustained in the 2010 Earthquake in Haiti. He requires a lot of help and close supervision.  Read more >

How do you know if you are a "Bad Blogger"? I think the shoe fits right now, as my last blog post was a long time ago. I haven't gotten any hate mail so no one is too awfully upset. I do have good reason, if it matters. My life as I knew it changed 8 weeks ago. I would like to say for the record: I was on maternity leave.  Now those of you who know me personally know I had a hystrectomy in January. You might be asking how is that possible?  Read more >

Charity Starts at Home or in Haiti?

On Jan 12, There was an Earthquake, the lives of the the people of Haiti are now changed, Forever! My life is changed, and I don't live in Haiti. My life is changed by what I've seen, what I've done. The people are amazing & inspire me to do more, even now that I am at home. I have a nice home, a comfortable bed, running water & indoor plumbing, and lots of creature comforts. I am not living in a tent, it is not the rainy season, or hurricane season here.  Read more >

 I am a married Mother of three  four children 29, 19 & 16 (& now 11) What was I thinking?  

I am an RN, and work in the Neonatal ICU. I have always had a special place in my heart for Babies.  I am an Adult Adoptee, and a transracial/transcultural Adoptive mother. My 11 year old son, is from Haiti.

  I enjoy travel, cooking, spending time with my family, photography & scrapbooking.

  I was raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan and now live in Virginia,surrounded by the Beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. I have an amazing Husband who works, goes to school & pretty much does what ever I tell him to do ask him to do!
