Mother of five, writer, aspiring author, business owner, and fitness freak, Darah returned to the US after nine years of residing with her large brood between Costa Rica and Panama, South America.  Through humor and optimism, Darah´s perspective of raising her children in today’s unstable world is strongly influenced by her experiences running a household and several businesses abroad.

I’m a young-at-heart woman with 5 dynamic and relentlessly inquisitive kids. Nothing’s less than a mission. I keep myself in optimal shape to run the daily mental and physical marathon of life. Sometimes I'm full of sarcastic wit; other times, I'm sentimental and reflective. Either way, I'm honest and speak my truth. My unconventional optic is born from living years abroad and overcoming multiple challenges. I hope my words reflect my incurable optimism, free-spirit, and world citizenship. Just like you, I'm searching for meaning behind everything.I strive to discover the hidden blessings and opportunities that emerge during crisis. I hope my "voice" inspires you to tap into that inner core and if called for, stare adversity in the face courageously. We're all modern-day warriors living in an age of uncertainty. We must build our own stability from within. I’ve a BS in clinical psychology and MS in international relations. I worked professionally in both domains amongst others. Yet, none of my education or work experience prepared me for the most challenging feat of all: mothering five "dynamic and feisty" children while trying to maintain a sense of self and shred of sanity.
