As writer/director/producer/star of the critically acclaimed online dramedy series DOWNSIZED, Daryn Strauss's unique voice has been praised by the Los Angeles Times, Fast Company, Bostinnovation, NewTeeVee, Tubefilter, Clicker, and Daytime Confidential. The Los Angeles Times recently named Downsized "the best of the straight-ahead dramas (on the web)," and Fast Company, Bostinnovation, YouTube and Clicker have all included Downsized on their Best Of lists. Now in its second season, Downsized was also an Official Selection at the prestigious Cologne Conference in Germany and nominated as Best Web Comedy by Clicker.com in 2010.

One of the first 22 digital media signatories to the Writers Guild of America East in 2009, Daryn was recently one of 14 writers nominated to the Writers Guild of America East Council. A vocal advocate for diversity in digital media, in June she was invited to speak at an internet policy hearing on Capitol Hill, with her speech on net neutrality showcased on Free Press.

As Creative Director of DigitalChickTV.com, a guide to online videos for women, Daryn has spoken on several panels about digital media for WGAE and NYWIFT. She is an Associate Member of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, which votes on the Webbys.
