DeeNice, the "Hostel" Virgin: An Urban City-Girls’ Humorous Experience living in a Hostel

DeeNice the Hostel Virgin. Now I'd like to think that I am an adventurous person (sometimes). BUT you never really know how “city-fied” you are until you go abroad for the first time. Some well meaning veteran travelers recommended I venture into the world of Hostels, so I did. I had just finished going to Spain and lived in a village called ValdelaVilla for an English Immersion program. Which was cool.   Read more >

About Me:

DeeNice is on a mission to assist the underserved communities (elderly, minorities, disable and rural) to become connected during the Transition to Digital Television national switchover. She has done workshops, educational trainings, and hands-on events to help these "underserved, yet well deserved" get digitally connected.  Through her non-profit, "The Urban Progressive Foundation" these grassroots efforts are helping to train, educate and assist our communities to Transition to Digital Television before the Feb. 17 2009.

Who is The Urban Progressive Foundation?

Empower, Engage and Excite

Since 1997, TUPF goal has been to educate, train, inform and create hands-on programs/events that enhance the lives of urban and rural communities (i.e. community education, technology use, and development). To help the underserved communities become engaged in embracing technology. Provide education to the under privileged (i.e. seniors/elderly, youth, disabled, at-risk income and rural individuals) which will support their lives and promote growth in their communities.
