Dr. Nancy D. O'Reilly

I am a clinical psychologist and founder of WomenSpeak.com, empowering women from trauma to triumph. I speak to groups all over the country helping people recover strength and health after traumatic experiences such as divorce, death, major illness, violence, job loss, or weather emergencies.

As a Nationally Certified Traumatologist, Nationally Certified Crisis Responder and Crisis Team Leader, and a member of National Organization of Victim Assistance. I worked in NYC after 9/11, in Louisiana after Katrina and in Joplin after the 2011 tornado.

I am currently collaborating with 22 smart amazing women on a new book, “Powerful Women Change the World…and How Men Can Help Them” scheduled for release in 2013.

I love speaking to groups, give radio and TV interviews, publish professional articles, and have presented my research at a national conference of the American Psychological Association. For four years I have conducted weekly interviews, designed to help women lead their best lives, which are available as podcasts on WomenSpeak.com. I co-authored the self-help book, Timeless Women Speak: Feeling Youthful At Any Age, based on a decade of research with more than 1,200 women.

I’m honored to have received a Missourian Award in 2010 for my community service; I continue to chair Female Leaders in Philanthropy, a United Way Women’s Initiative; and participated in the 2011 United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. I work consistently in my community and my state to uphold professional standards in the practice of psychology, to lessen the impacts of hunger on children, and to help women improve their personal and professional situations. In addition, I serve on the boards of directors or steering committees for Central Trust and Investment Company, am a Senate-confirmed member of the State Committee of Psychologists Board of Directors, and Board of Trustees member of the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks.

One of my great experiences was to travel as a People-to-People Ambassador and Wellness Delegate to Beijing and Shanghai, China for Health Providers in Holistic Medicine. I am a member of American Psychological Association, National Wellness Association, Primary Care Network, American Counseling Association, American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (clinical member), and Psi Chi National Honor Society (Psychology).
