About Me:

started out in California, fiber art, Oregon Shakespeare, theatre around the west, segued into ballet, industrial slide production, Otis Art Institute, magazine publishing, went to New York and sojourned a year in a back room of Wall Street, book publishing, freelance writing, moved to Florida, graduate studies in philosophy, now I'm teaching art to kids. Back in art again, which I thought I'd left behind in early 80's LA. An old California conceptual/appropriationist of Renaissance sensibility, reconnecting to her roots, many of which are now ripe for appropriation themselves. Ken Brown taught me to try the improbable anyway. Jack Goldstein convinced me I was an artist. Arnold Mesches taught me how paintings are made. Kent Twitchell showed me how I draw. Kaffe Fassett led me back home. "It's all about where we came from..."said Jack.

I am a painter from California...
