About Me:

Elaine VigneaultHi, I'm Elaine Vigneault.

I was born a bastard in Los Angeles in the year of USA's bicentennial birthday.

There was no messy divorce since my parents were never married. Despite my broken home I grew up to be a fairly decent person, though I can be a self-righteous prick or a bat-shit crazy bitch.

At age six I stopped eating meat reasoning that, "I don't eat my friends."

When I was 17 I went to beauty school.

I went skydiving once.

I joined the Conservation Corps and did all sorts of cool things like working to clean up an oil spill in San Francisco.

Fell in love with a philosopher. But that didn't work out.

Then I met Ed, a professional poker player, on the day the Red Sox won the World Series. Ed and I fell in love. We got married one year after the day we met.

In 2006 I went to New Orleans for a month. I spent two weeks at an animal shelter helping the feline victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Ed was on Queer Eye. They made him get a fake tan.

Heather Armstrong was the first person to get fired for her blog, but I took personal blogging the next step: I got my husband fired.

When I pissed off my husband's pimp publisher we broke off relations and moved to New York with our five cat-sized pets. Yes, five, all rescues.

Oh yeah, I've been fired quite a few times myself. I'm practically an expert.

We live in a 300 square foot apartment in Manhattan. Our bedroom has no natural light and our floors are usually hairy.

We order take out almost every day. We are fat vegetarians.

My blog began in livejournal.com three years ago. If you'd like to start reading from the beginning of this blog my first post is Lien On Me, when the California State Tax Board decided I owed them my first born child.

~ Elaine :)
