About Me:
After recovering from a 15 year history of bulimia and eating disorders in general, I discovered my love of healthy food and fitness. I am in the midst of planning a future career change, since I'm about a year away from earning my Master's Degree in Holistic Nutrition. I'm also planning a wedding and anticipating the start of my family. However, none of this craziness would have been possible if I hadn't healed from my eating disorder! I love running and fitness in general, and I am in a perpetual state of training for one event or another. I think the key to staying healthy is constantly setting personal goals, achieving them, and moving along to the next goal. Last year, I ran my first 15K, 1/2 marathon, and full marathon. This year, I will participate in my first two triathlons, and also run another 1/2 and full marathon. I am not built for running, nor am I even good at it, but it's a constant challenge that I enjoy working for. In addition to sharing my daily life at www.joggerslife.com, I also began an anonymous "Dear Body" website at www.letterstomybody.com, and I've just started to be a mentor to others who are in the beginning stages of their ED recovery at MENTORconnect (founded by Shannon Cutts).
