Emily Chang is an award-winning web and interaction designer, technology strategist and co-founder and principal of Ideacodes, a web design and technology consultancy in San Francisco. She writes at emilychang.com and is the creator of the popular web 2.0 resource, eHub and eHub Interviews. Emily is also a member of the Web 2.0 Workgroup and Corante Web Hub. For the last ten years, she has created websites, applications, and online products for a diverse range of clients including Six Apart, Hewlett Packard, MIT and the Sierra Club. Emily's expertise ranges from conceptual to technical, with a focus on UI and interaction design, technology strategy, web 2.0, social software, web communities, and next generation web applications and products. Her design and internet work has garnered dozens of awards, including SXSW finalist, two prestigious CASE grand gold awards in interactive media, IBM Best Practices Partner, and Web Marketing Association's Best Websites. She has an M.F.A. in art from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a B.A. in literature from the College of William and Mary. Having traveled and lived around the world, Emily now lives and works in the SOMA web district in San Francisco.
