My BlogHer Profile: Erin Groh

Born and raised in Newport Beach (in the now infamous OC), I’ve spent the last several years working my way up the California coast.  My first stop was in Santa Barbara, where I received my degree from UCSB in Cultural Anthropology and Art History (which has served me no use in my professional life, but makes me an excellent museum companion), taking a brief hiatus to study abroad in Italy my junior year.  After college I moved to San Francisco, where I live in a tiny studio apartment, on top of a hill, with my very weird, but very lovable dog Molly.

Some important things to know about me: I can be a bit socially awkward sometimes, I love to cook and think almost everything tastes better with cheese, I have an irrational hatred for the band Coldplay, California oak trees make me all swoony, and I generally suffer from an intense case of wanderlust.  I don’t get to travel as much as I’d like to, but my goal is to hit every continent by the time I’m thirty and I dream of living abroad again someday.
