About Me:

I blog at Somewhere Else to Go and The Woman Citizen, which started out as heavily military and defense policy oriented.  (They grew out of my first book, Women in the Line of Fire:  What You Should Know about Women in the Military, Seal Press, 2006).  Since, my work has become increadingly cultural and political, while I still maintain a serious interest in military issues.  I now write about what it means to be a woman and a citizen, especially in these dangerous times.
