About Me:

Claudia Corrigan D’Arcy began her “career” online over 11 years ago with the introduction of broadband internet service at her home. In the beginning she was just using the internet to independently research adoption issues in preparation of the successful search and reunion with her own son in 2007 whom was placed for adoption. After mastering the nuances of online forums and message lists, founding, creating and managing various communities was second nature. As the internet grew, so did herself taught skills including early adaptation of social media as a tool used to get her message across and the community building and grass roots organizing skills that were created through new media. She has spent countless hours learning from, talking with, and educating others on adoption issues through her work, with adoption lobbying and activism and at national adoption conferences. When blogging burst onto the online zeitgeist, she quickly joined the ranks. She has been writing on her blog about almost every aspect of life as a birthmother since 2005. When not talking about adoption she is the Director of Social Media at DragonSearch. Her writing can be found many places online including her blog, Musings of the Lame, Adopt-a-tude, Divine Caroline, Grown in My Heart and many others. Her dedicated work in the online community has lead to many speaking and writing engagements including serving on the Board of Directors of Origins-USA, serving on the blogger panel at the Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Research Institute/ Ethica Adoption Ethics Conference, interviews for various news media, and National Public Radio on the adoption industry. Among her specialties; , search, reunions and open records, lobbying and legislation efforts for adoption related laws. She has attended and presented at many adoption conferences , had an appearance as a expert guest on the Montel Williams show, and will also be teaching adoption ethics and search classes. It is this ability of recognizing and utilizing new online opportunities that provides the strong foundation of her work with DragonSearch Marketing. With an established background of blogging and online etiquette, Claudia knows intuitively how to negotiate the ever changing variables online so that her clients messages reach the most relevant viewers. As a self proclaimed research junky and sometimes adoption search angel, she prides herself at being able to dig deeper and find just about anything online. Carefully honed, these skills are now used to sniff our highly specialized websites and find the most valuable linking opportunities. On the same note, her years of forum participation and management allow her to effectively brand clients online profiles to the maximum of optimization levels. As the Director of Social Media for Dragon Search, she continues to stay ahead of the curve and spots upcoming internet technology and tools that can be used to promote her clients projects. Whether it be customization and promotions on Twitter, or growing a fan base for a Facebook fan page to over 5000 members in 48 hours, her ease of comfort with online marketing is apparent. Now blogging for several corporate accounts plus providing SEO based copy for new websites, traffic building exterior articles and press releases, she can either write your blog for you or teach you how to master the skills yourself. Years of carefully explaining the delicate nuances in adoption, have prepared her to effectively communicate and explain the nature of online profiles, promotions and how to benefit from their use. These days she spends much of her time as the either tutoring clients on how to maximize the potential of Facebook and or singing the marketing benefits of Tweets. No matter what, from adoption to fashion, cars to organic cosmetics, insurance to art; you can find her spending her days “running all over the internet” most effectively using whatever new tools she can find to spread the word. If words can be used as swords, then the internet is a most effective weapon and used correctly, can change the world.
