I am a Momma.  I am 25.  I am a writer, artist, painter, photographer, chef, and gardener.  I am almost always covered in spit up, pureed something or other, or some delightful mixture of the two.  I secretly love Martha Stewart, but can't really pull off anything that she does.  I take one picture everyday, even if it's a cheap copout and it's my son smiling.  (I love those) I spend entirely too much time online. I read, but it takes me forever to finish a book because I read about two pages before bed and fall asleep. I have the best husband in the world.  He is my best friend and I am excited to grow old with him.  I am growing climbing beans on my balcony - wish me luck.

And now, I have a blog.  Originally it started out as a way to relay stories of our life here in Madison, WI.  It turned into something so much more.  I truly love working on it.  I do a weekly Etsy Kids update, I find family activities in Madison, and I write about life.  The whole 'spit up covered, smiling, crying, stay up all night, shower when I can' life that I have.  I know others can relate.  Please join me and share your stories as well.

Fresh Start and School Year Resolutions

School is starting for my husband today. He is in his third year of graduate school.  There is something about the start of school.  It is a fresh start.  New Pencils. New Haircuts.  New Notebooks.  New Books.  A New Year.  December 31 is just a day, but this time of year gives us so much.  We can start fresh, try again, make things better.  This time we'll keep the house clean, have no procrastination, and have more time together as a family.  ...more
