I am...a woman, a daughter, a dog owner, a photographer; a lover of life, travel, food, the usual and unusual and hopefully a cancer survivor!  I was diagnosed with rectal cancer in June of 2009...had two surgeries, 2 chemo treatments and radiation...last chemo treatment will be 5/10/10.  Wish me luck!

Happiest with a camera in hand, I started out with a Kodak Brownie at the age of 8, photographing anything and everything that caught my eye.

I still do this, albeit with better cameras! The cameras I use now include a Canon 20d and a Canon Rebel xsi, with a 100mm f/2.8 lens, a 17-85mm f4-5.6 lens, a 50mm f1.8 lens & a EF70-200mm f/4 USM lens, a Sony DSC-F717 and an HP Photosmart R837, plus my trusty camera phone! 

Nothing makes me happier than exploring my surroundings and taking lots of pictures; lately I've been on a food photography kick!

Interesting fact about me: I recently looked up an old friend on facebook...that I hadn't seen since 1973 or so...and now we're dating! He doesn't care about the fact I'm battling cancer and is very supportive and kind and caring. I feel like since my parents sent me to group counseling and that's how we met, that a part of them is still looking out for me :-)
