What was a shanty a few weeks ago is turning into a pretty good fort. My oldest son started it but needed help to reinvent it. We dismantled the first and second attempt and started over. I’m a fort builder from way back. I had them all: a grass hut in the bushes, a tree platform for swinging off of, the average shanty that was by far my favorite with it’s sloped roof and broken concrete pathway, but the most memorable was the time I decided to really expand my fort building abilities.
