This is where my PASSION finally COMES TO LIFE. I say "FINALLY" because most of the elements in my designs have a past...a MYSTERIOUS one and I'd like to think a somewhat REBELLIOUS one...they have already lived a PREVIOUS LIFE... maybe DELICIOUS SWEET by the book or AGAINST THE RULES ... who knows?...sure is AMUSING to FANTASIZE the life they lived...The EXCITEMENT begins for me in the HUNT ... usually finding my TREASURE hiding at the bottom of a FORGOTTEN jewelry box...at some obscure market...the JOY in spying a RHINESTONE brooch, a ring of ANTIQUE skeleton keys, or RUSTY rosary beads. I can not tell you how HARD my HEART is POUNDING all the way home with my stash beside me! Once tucked away in the quiet of the studio the IMAGINATION flows ... who did these GLITZY jewels once belong? WHO are the SWEETHEARTS in the locket? Who CARRIED the rosaries and WHAT did they PRAY for? WHAT SECRETS did the KEY LOCK away? ... as each ooak piece comes to life a story or thought may be attached to it...just part of the puzzle that reveals itself late at night or early dawn...makes you wonder...what's your REBELLION?
