If you read my most recent article you should know by know that my family has been impacted dramatically by this recession. I also know that we are not the only ones. According to Capitol Hill Blue, the current unemployment rate is at 9.8 percent. 15.1 million Americans are now out of work, the department said. And more than 7.1 million jobs have been eliminated since the recession began in December 2007.  Read more >

Depressed Mothers are at Risk of Having Infants With Sleep Issues

 A new study suggests that moms who suffer from depression when their children are born are at risk of having babies with severe sleep issues. These kids also are more likely to suffer with depression during early childhood. Infants born to depressed mothers took longer to fall asleep at night during the first six months. They also had frequent but much shorter periods of sleep during the day.  Read more >

Yesterday President Bush signed into law a $700 billion financial rescue package. This package will allow the government to purchase mortgage-related investments and other assets from troubled financial institutions. The government hopes that the bill will restore confidence in markets and make credit more available to businesses and individuals. Some businesses depend on credit in order to make payroll. About Me: 

Cascia Talbert grew up in Wisconsin as the youngest of five children. She attended Catholic grade school and was inspired by her Catholic education and her mother's close relationship with God and Jesus. As a teenager she played her flute in the school band and wrote for the school newspaper. Music and writing became her passion.

After getting married and starting a family she wanted the best for her children and was concerned about the obesity epidemic in the US. In 2007 she decided she needed to do her part and make a difference by creating an interactive blog and website that teaches moms how to eat right, exercise, provide healthy food choices for their children and be more aware of the health crisis in America.

Currently Cascia resides in Sacramento, CA with her husband, two cats and four children. She manages all website advertising, reviews, giveaways, and writes about her faith and family.

She is also a featured health blogger at Wellsphere.com and on the social media advisory board for America's Wellness Challenge.
