Virginia Kahler-Anderson

I am a Home-Reared Chef. I don't have a degree from a culinary school, but I have earned my title through years of experience. I am a Foodie! With my husband at my side, I have been creating recipes and cooking all of my 30 married years. I have other passions in my life as well: my children and grandchildren, and exercising, like lifting weights, step-aerobics and street-hiking. I am very passionate about all these things.

I also love to write, though I am not a writer by profession. And that is why I am thrilled to have found a home with BlogHer. Here I can write and share my stories and my recipes. Writing is therapeutic, after all

I am also San Jose Food Examiner and San Jose Home Fitness Examiner:

TMI and not in a good way!

This seems to be the era of way too much information sharing.  And, I am guilty of that also.   While I tend to use more discretion with my online presence, in person is a totally different story.  This came to my awareness when I was shopping recently with my daughter.  For those of you with daughters (don’t have a son so can’t compare), you know that they are probably your most honest source of feedback, whether you ask for it or not.   ...more
