About Me:
I am a social psychologist whose area of interest is family relationships, boundaries, and intergenerational connections - specifically, between parents and young adults. I'm the author of 12 books including four novels (most recently, "Sugartime") and several nonfiction best-sellers - "When Our Grown Kids Disappoint Us," "I'm Still Your Mother," "Boundary Issues." I've recently collaborated with www.pricelessparenting.com, to create the first on-line program for parents of college-bound students - "Ready to Launch: Parenting Teenagersw Through the College Transition." I'm also a speaker and coach who consults and advises on postparenting, family business, and women's psychological transitions over the lifespan. On a personal note, I'm an avid scuba diver, an enthusiastic grandmother, and am owned by a very loving Portuguese water dog.
