BCS: Change Your System NOW!

About Me: 

Janna Wong was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Her experiences growing up in LA during the ’60s and ’70s in a traditional Chinese family inform her writing and serve as the basis for many of her characters’ adventures. She attended USC, earning a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s degree in Writing.

She has been a member of several prestigious writing workshops, including the David Henry Hwang Writers Workshop through East West Players and the Playwright’s Kitchen Ensemble through the Coronet Theater. Her play, “Sweet and Sour” was a Top 10 Finalist in the Theatre Mu New Playwrights Competition and her short stories from her collection, “A Life in Yellow-Gold,” were performed by The New Short Fiction Series in its inaugural “Emerging Voices” program.

She has worked in the film industry on such movies as “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan” and “The Day After” and spent years as a story analyst for studios and production companies. She has written more than 150 menu decks for movies and television series for Universal Studios and has edited books and written magazine articles on a variety of topics. She is also an Adjunct Professor of Business Communication in USC’s Marshall School of Business.
