About Me:
Anita and Jennifer decided to put their people skills, industry knowledge, and passion for helping people to good use by forming A HOME AWAY FROM HOME in early 2007.

Jennifer Button: is a native Californian and has lived in Santa Monica for over 20 years. She earned her B.A. in French, Business and Anthropology studying in France and California.

Now, Jennifer LOVES helping families find solutions to their beloved seniors’ needs, which she has been doing now for over five years. “You always hear it and it sounds so corny, but truly helping people is SO personally gratifying! It feels great to be able to help so many wonderful people when they are faced with difficult situations. I LOVE what I do!”

Anita Barnum: "When asked about the path that lead me to my current position, many people and colleagues have guessed I must have been a Social Worker or RN before finding my way into this business. The truth is I stumbled quite by accident into the Senior Care Referral business. Along the way, however, I tell my families that I gained so much satisfaction in this work that I can hardly call it work. I consider it my daily mission to guide families through these confusing and often intimidating waters." Anita is originally from the South Bay area of Los Angeles. She obtained a B.S. degree in International Business and still resides in the South Bay area with her husband of 13 years and their three young children. Her hobbies/interests include gardening, boating and exercising.
