I write the DIY/home decor blog, Imperfectly Polished, where I share tutorials on building furniture, renovating spaces, decorating, sewing, and much more.  My husband and I worked hard to take our first home from builder-grade to unique and handmade.  We tackle large projects, like our concrete countertops, to smaller projects, like our hanging rope shelf and barn door wall art.  You can see a full tour of our home here! We are currently DIYing our first home build. We bought 5 acres in the country and are doing the general contracting and finish work ourselves. Our daughter, Molly, and dog, Pudge, make regular appearances on the blog and can't wait to live in the new house!
