About Me: 

I am an artist and writer, a Registered Nurse, and breast cancer survivor. I create images from personal artifacts and everyday occurrences, and author the blog J Paradisi RN: Where Science, Humanity and Art Converge.

My series of paintings From Cradle to Grave: The Color White is featured in the Fall 2011 issue of Scrubs Magazine. This series explores the meaning of the color white for women of Western culture. I have guest posted for Off the Charts, the blog of the American Journal of Nursing. My essay, The Wisdom of Nursery Rhymes was published in the February 2011 Reflections column of AJN.

Two short stories of mine, Icarus Again and Voyagers were published in the anthology New Lives: Nurses' Stories about Caring for Babies, Kathleen Huggins, RN,MS, editor. Kaplan Publishing, New York, publisher. May 2009.
