Just A Girl in the World launched in 2007 as a travel blog to document my adventures as I moved overseas and studied for my master of arts in contemporary music at Brunel University in London, England. A year and a half later I moved to New York to pursue a career in music journalism and Just A Girl came with me, arguably getting me through one of the longest and hardest years of my life. In September 2009, I moved back to my hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. I work in the music industry and still do some music writing, but the focus of my blog has shifted in the last two years from primarily travels, discoveries and adventures to primarily dating, single life and all the various and sundry ways I can make an ass of myself in public places. Usually in crowds. Sometimes on television. Just A Girl still documents all my travels, of course, and at its very heart it is a humor blog. I hope that it will make people laugh (and think), whether they know me or not.
