Couch 2 5k- Day 1

Today was my first day running out of my own free will. Strangly enough, I was nervous. You know how it feels when you are leaving on an airplane in the morning and you don't want to miss the flight? You end up waking up in five minute increments throughout the night until you realize you have had no sleep and it's time to get up. I have chosen to run early in the morning before I have to get the kids up for school (at least for the next week until summer vacation). Unfortunately, I dont have anyone to run with here since my husband has to make sure someone is with the kids.  Read more >

I think the only time I have ever ran in my adult life was to grab a child out of harm's way. I recently reflected on this as I read status updates on friends who run for a living practically, and I never really thought about running seriously, until now.  Read more >
