kayvantreese

Hi!  My name is Kay and I live with my husband, two dogs and one cat on a farm in North Florida.  We love to cook and try new recipes, and I manage our food blog called The Three Headed Chef:  Dinner After Midnight.   We also both play music (fiddle, guitar, banjo, mandolin) with the Booger Holler String Band.  Besides cooking and picking, we also have a very large garden where we grow most of our own vegetables and herbs all year round.  We try to do natural and organic whenever possible, and always fresh!  From the garden to the table . . . that's what we strive for.

Stuffed Potato Pancakes . . .they're not just for breakfast any more!

These Stuffed Potato Pancakes made a great side-dish with any meal, or a special treat for breakfast!  Features sauteed mushrooms and mozzarella cheese stuffing.  Easy to make, and can be prepped ahead of time.  Delicious! Life's too short to eat crappy food.  :-)http://threeheadedchef.blogspot.com/...more

Low-Fat Scalloped Potatoes

It may be Fathers Day soon, but it's us mothers who have to look good in a bathing suit!  What is it about guys that makes them not care that the old Speedo doesn't look as good at 50 as it did at 20?  I dunno, but I've seen enough beer guts slopping over the top of swimming trunks at the beach to last me a lifetime!  Anyway moms, here's a low-fat version of an old favorite for your Father's Day BBQ this weekend - Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes!  It's easy to make, and you'll never miss those calories!  Enjoy it with your favorite glass of chilled Chardonnay this weekend...more
