I am a new mom as of September 2010. In my previous life, I worked many years as a Young Adult  services librarian, media specialist, in a middle school and a retail bookseller in the Children's department.  So my blog will eventually be filled with book reviews once I actually have time to read again!

If there is anything that could possibly be unique about my blog, it's that I'm learning a whole lot more right now than just the new mom thing. I've had organizational difficulties for years and I'm learning stuff that I should have learned over a decade ago on the fly.  If "stay at home mom" required a job interview and a resume, I'd never be qualified enough. Before my daughter was born, I could barely microwave soup, I rarely cleaned up or did any laundry and I was losing things all the time. Now I'm teaching myself to cook, clean and get organized enough to do everything I need to keep my family going. This has been a great opportunity, and I love how I've gradually changed in a short period of time. 

I used to perform onstage back in the day. I was never very good but I always had a blast. I play boardgames, online games and PC video games for kicks -- well at least I did before my baby.
