O so Sad.  I am just going to have to take this link off of my FB page, that's all there is to it.  I can't write unabashed otherwise.  It sucks, because I had such a great tag line.  Oh well-I guess I'm not going fishing.  I did make some amazing coffee tho...as it turns out, after hours of scouring my FB page, turns out I'm not the only Reno refugee here.  Question now is, would it not, perhaps, be better to just refrain from the Drama?  Well I believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt...sometimes.  Like when I'm feeling arrogant enough to t  Read more >

The Hill Country

Holy moly.  It's been awhile.  Here I am actually ready to write in earnest, & as it turns out, at least 200+people were reading the rot I had to write as coursework.  I guess that's a good sign.  Now residing in the Texas hill country.  Long story short, about 100 years ago (ok 20) whilst indulging my post-high school travel lust, I wound up in Big Bend NP, met a boy, found him again on Facebook in November of 2010, & here I am.  Now here's a link to a song I can't believe I can only post here, in the dead of night, 'cause even  Read more >

About Me:

Animal enthusiast, avid reader, student, employee...grew up in Upper Michigan and go back as little as I possibly can without being totally ostracized by my family!  Armchair activist...love music (Ryan Adams, Van Morrison, the White Stripes, and Greg Brown are usually in pretty heavy rotaion).  School, school, school.  The idea is to eventually go on to a veterinary or botany program, or just get my degree in biology and do something in wildlife management and/or rehab.  I'd also love to go & work at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary...I'll cross those bridges when I come to them...

As of 6/11-impending stepmother of Two (1 of Whom I'm currently very angry with), probable future wife of 1 (the father, not the kid!).  Under (but happily) employed Nursery Groupie.
